Important update to all BC locations

Vancouver, BC. — Saturday afternoon November 7, the B.C. Provincial Government announced the introduction of new public health measures that will take effect within the Lower Mainland. By order of the PHO, all individuals, places of work and businesses within the Vancouver Coastal Health and Fraser Health regions must significantly reduce social interactions and travel.

The order is in effect from November 7, 2020 at 10:00 pm to November 23, 2020 at 12:00 pm.

As part of these public measures, gameplay and scrimmages will not be permitted at indoor sports recreation facilities within the Lower Mainland.

As such, the Fall ’20 ASHL Season & Canlan Youth Scrimmages at our Burnaby, North Vancouver, and Langleylocations are currently on hold, with any games as of November 7th and beyond being postponed for a minimum of the next 16 days or November 23, 2020 at 12:00 pm.

Ice Rentals and Youth and Adult Programming will still be permitted as long as each user group practices safe physical distancing and follow all Canlan Safety protocols as published.

NO SPECTATORS  will be permitted at Canlan.

Which locations does this apply to?
These measures apply to Burnaby, North Vancouver, and Langley.

When will we be able to play games again this season?
At this point, the public health measures are set to remain in effect until at least November 23rd at 12:00 pm. At some point during that 16-day period, the Chief Medical Officer will advise the Government if these measures can be removed, or extended, at which point we’ll have clarity about when, and if the ASHL Fall ’20 season or Youth Scrimmages are able to resume and or game play and scrimmages for our contracts.
